Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with current products
- Assist with inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and organizing back stock
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support sales initiatives through upselling and cross-selling techniques to maximize store revenue
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with diverse customers and team members
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for connecting with a broader customer base
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math for accurate transactions
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities to support team goals
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product demos to promote items confidently
- Customer service expertise with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous but not required
