The Customer Service Representative is responsible for performing all tasks related to patient/client communication, customer service, and verification of third-party reimbursement. This position requires driving a company vehicle and flexibility to assist at both our Iowa Falls and Hampton locations. We service patients and nursing facilities throughout Northern Iowa, with some travel up to two hours away.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Answers incoming phone calls and takes customer orders.
- Maintains positive, open communication with patients/clients and referral sources.
- Responds to patient/client questions and concerns.
- Services walk-in customers in a friendly, professional manner.
- Sets up new patient/client files and verifies private insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid coverage.
- Initiates proper paperwork and reviews it for completeness and accuracy.
- Keeps store, vehicles, and equipment clean and serviced while following OSHA, DOT, FDA, HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid regulations.
- Assists the Location Manager with equipment maintenance, servicing, and tracking logs.
- Markets the company in a positive and professional manner.
- Takes on-call shifts as scheduled and makes deliveries as directed.
- Implements Long Term Medical Supply's Mission Statement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience/Knowledge:
- Previous data entry experience preferred.
- Typing and 10-key skills.
- Excellent phone and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
