Kindred Healthcare is seeking a highly organized and customer service-oriented Staffing Coordinator to join our nursing administration team. In this role, you will serve as a vital liaison between the nursing office and other SAU departments, ensuring our units are appropriately staffed to provide exceptional patient care.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Staffing Coordinator, you will work under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) to manage nursing department staffing and recruitment. Your primary duties will include:
Schedule Management: Developing and maintaining nursing department staffing records, including cancellation lists, float logs, master schedules, and daily staffing sheets.
- Personnel Coordination: Identifying the number and level of personnel required to provide patient care and initiating changes as directed by the DON.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining an accurate, up-to-date written and online schedule in Kronos.
- Recruitment Support: could be asked to perform potential new hire interviews as necessary
- Reporting: Keeping leadership informed of staffing variances, employee absences, and situations requiring follow-up or immediate attention.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High school graduate or GED.
- Licenses: Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Experience: One year of experience as a staffing coordinator in LTC preferred.
- Skills: Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills: Proficiency required.
- Language: Must read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Attendance: Must have good and regular attendance.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods (2/3 or more of the day) and lift/carry up to 10 pounds frequently.
