Assistant Tasting Room Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Assistant Tasting Room Manager to join our vibrant team. Duties

• Assist the Tasting Room Manager in coordinating daily operations, including staff scheduling and training
• Lead by example in providing outstanding customer service, guiding guests through tastings, and sharing product knowledge
• Oversee POS transactions using systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to ensure accurate sales processing and cash handling
• Support menu planning efforts by collaborating with culinary teams to develop engaging tasting experiences and food pairings
• Manage upselling opportunities to enhance sales while ensuring guests receive personalized recommendations
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in all tasting areas, adhering to food handling regulations and best practices
• Facilitate banquet, catering, and special event setups within the tasting room environment
• Handle cashiering duties efficiently during busy periods, ensuring accurate cash handling and transaction processing
• Assist with inventory management of wine, food items, and supplies to support seamless service delivery

Skills

• Proven experience in restaurant or food service environments, preferably with fine dining or tasting room settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient sales transactions
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
• Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and culinary concepts within the food industry
• Experience with serving, banquets, catering, and food handling procedures
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks including cash handling, inventory control, and event setup
• Background in sales or hospitality roles that emphasize customer engagement and relationship building
