Job Description:
Our client is one of the largest and most prestigious single manager equity hedge fund launches within the last decade. The firm continues to be in a period of growth. Because of the growth, the Founder & CIO is looking to hire a COO.
This person will serve as a true extension of the CIO, driving efficiency as the firm scales, leading internal and external communication, managing investment and non-investment staff, and coordinating cross-functional initiatives. This is a high-impact role for someone who combines sharp project management instincts with strong people leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management — Track and manage key priorities, projects, and follow-ups across the team, keeping workflows clear and execution on time.
- Communication — Act as a trusted point of contact, relaying feedback and keeping communication channels running smoothly.
- Process Improvement — Turn unstructured information into structured workflows that keep the team organized and effective.
- Talent Development — Partner with the CIO to develop professionals across the organization and cultivate a positive, high-performance culture.
- Operational Efficiencies — Partner with the CIO and COO on any and all operating processes, identifying, mapping, and executing initiatives related to improvements or new onboarding.
Qualifications:
- 9 years of total experience. Experience in a chief of staff role, or COO role preferred.
- Strong project management experience in a fast-paced, high-performance environment (finance, consulting, or a comparable high-intensity field)
- A detail-oriented operator with strong ownership of their work product
- Excellent academic credentials, Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably within a finance, economics or mathematics discipline
Salary : $250,000 - $350,000
