What are the responsibilities and job description for the Alignment Technician - Full-Time position at Long-Lewis?
Extreme Auto Design is seeking a skilled and motivated Alignment Technician to join our team. This individual will be primarily responsible for performing precision wheel alignments on a variety of vehicles, while also handling related suspension, steering, and tire services.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform accurate four-wheel alignments using alignment machines and manufacturer specifications.

Diagnose and repair issues related to vehicle suspension, steering components, and tire wear.

Install and balance tires and wheels as needed.

Replace or repair steering and suspension components including control arms, tie rods, ball joints, shocks, struts, and bushings.

Road-test vehicles to ensure proper alignment and handling.

Communicate findings and recommendations to service advisors and other team members.

Maintain alignment and tire equipment in clean and functional condition.

Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.

Ensure all work meets manufacturer standards and customer expectations.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in automotive alignments or suspension/steering repair.

Proficiency in using computerized alignment equipment (e.g., Hunter, John Bean, etc.).

Understanding of vehicle suspension, steering, and wheel/tire systems.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

ASE Certification(s) a plus but not required.

Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.

Able to stand, bend, squat, and work in various positions throughout the day.

Comfortable working in a shop environment with occasional exposure to loud noises, dust, and chemicals.
