Key Responsibilities
Analytics Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Data Analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
Prioritize analytics projects and reporting requests to align with organizational goals and operational needs.
Establish standards, best practices, and governance for reporting, data management, and analytics processes.
Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and career development planning for analytics team members.
Collaborate with executive leadership to identify strategic opportunities where data can improve operational performance and business outcomes.
Reporting Strategy & Business Intelligence
Oversee the development, maintenance, and delivery of reporting solutions supporting Sales, Service, Finance, Marketing, and Operations teams.
Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of recurring reports and dashboards across all dealership locations.
Partner with department leaders to define key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting requirements, and business intelligence needs.
Guide the team's response to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests while maintaining prioritization and service levels.
Present findings, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and actionable manner.
Data Governance & Quality
Establish and maintain data governance standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reporting platforms.
Oversee data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance processes across multiple business systems.
Develop documentation standards for reporting logic, data definitions, processes, and analytics methodologies.
Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to improve data integrity, system integrations, and overall data accessibility.
Dashboards, Automation & Process Improvement
Lead the design and implementation of scalable dashboards and business intelligence solutions using Power BI and related tools.
Identify opportunities to automate reporting, streamline workflows, and reduce manual processes.
Evaluate and implement new analytics technologies, AI tools, and automation solutions to improve efficiency and insight generation.
Partner with IT teams and vendors to enhance reporting infrastructure and support long-term analytics initiatives.
Required Qualifications
5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or a related field.
2 years of experience leading, mentoring, or managing analysts or analytics teams.
Ability to work full-time on-site at our Florence, AL corporate office.
Current residence in or near the Shoals area with the ability to commute daily.
Strong knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Excel, Python, and modern business intelligence tools.
Experience building and scaling reporting functions, analytics programs, or business intelligence initiatives.
Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Gemini to improve productivity, analytics workflows, and decision-making.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data modeling, and analysis.
Experience managing multiple priorities, stakeholders, and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations for leadership audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing analytics functions within automotive dealership operations.
Familiarity with dealership systems such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, VinSolutions, Elead, Tekion, or vAuto.
Experience with data warehousing, APIs, ETL processes, Power Query, and data automation tools.
Understanding of dealership KPIs, including sales, inventory, fixed operations, F&I performance, customer retention, and service metrics.
Experience developing analytics roadmaps, governance programs, and KPI frameworks.
Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)
Microsoft Excel Expert (MO-201)
SQL Certification
Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate
Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar leadership certification
