LIU is hiring talented and passionate student-counselors to join Roc Nation Summer Academy, beginning July 2026. The Summer Academy encompasses three week-long camps for students ages 15-18 who are in high school. The Academy offers concentrations in Music Technology, Vocal Performance, and Sports Business. Roc Nation Summer Academy counselors will report to the Assistant Dean of the Roc Nation School, and one or two instructors will be eligible for resident counselor positions which come with on-campus housing.

- Week 1 - July 13-17: Sports Business
- Week 2 - July 20-24: Sports Business and Music Technology
- Week 3 - Julky 27-31: Music Technology and Vocal Performance
- Actively engage with academy students across classes, studio sessions, tech labs and project-based work, supporting their learning and creative development while collaborating closely with counselor and instructional stuff on a daily responsibilities.
- Supervise and mentor students throughout all program activities - including workshops, studio time and off site trips - serving as a positive role model while enhancing the educational and experiential value of each activity.
- Accompany and chaperone students during trips and events, ensuring safety, engagement and meaningful connection to program learning objectives.
- Communicate promptly with the site director regarding any concerns related to student health, safety, well-being, or program experience, contributing to a proactive and responsive student support system.
- For resident counselor in housing, support residential students by conducting regular check-ins and ensuring accountability at designated times, helping maintain a safe, structured, and supportive living environment.
