What are the responsibilities and job description for the REGISTERED NURSE, OPERATING ROOM position at Long Island Plastic Surgical Group, PC?
We have an exciting opportunity for Registered Operating Room Nurses, who can scrub and circulate, to work with our prestigious practice in our Manhattan location. We welcome a variety of nurse’s experience, but, for this specific registered nurse (RN) operating room nurse role, we require NYS RN licensed and BLS certified registered nurses with a minimum of 1 year of operating room RN experience.
- This is a Per Diem position only

REQUIREMENTS NEEDED:
- Current NYS RN licensure required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 years of Operating Room experience
- Understanding of AAAASF, AORN, ASPSN, and ISPAN standards; OSHA guidelines for ambulatory practice, quality assurance required
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES:
- Ensure that the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment
- Maintain a sterile environment
- Pass medical instruments to the surgeons during the operation
- Evaluate postoperative patients
- Reviews charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure
Compensation: $50.00-55.00
