This position will focus on assisting with day-to-day BID operations, such as helping to manage our on-street services, tracking and reporting street conditions and occasional outreach for events or promotions.
The ideal candidate will possess an interest in community economic development. They will have good time management habits, the ability to multi-task and focus on multiple concurrent projects and enjoy spending majority of time out in the field. This position reports to and operates under the direction of the Senior Director of BID Operations. Schedule may shift due to occasional weeknight and weekend events and meetings.

Field Operations
- Routinely walk the district to survey and track neighborhood conditions, documenting issues and following up with relevant city and state agencies to maintain the highest quality conditions in the area
- Support the execution of initiatives for district beautification and enhancement including landscaping in tree pits and parks, banners, flower baskets, lighting, public art, volunteer days
- Track street furniture and other streetscape assets (garbage cans, tree pits, light poles)
- Capture photos and videos during field operations for use on our website, social media channels, annual reports, and other promotional materials
- Maintain records of service requests in our internal tracking tools (Salesforce, Ginkgo, Monday.com)
- Occasional support with special projects including outreach for events and promotions, volunteer activities and public art initiatives.

- Must be physically present, not a remote position
- Must be physically capable of working outdoors in all weather
- Fast Learner, self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Communicates effectively (verbally and in writing)
- Knowledge of BID and NYC government agencies are helpful, but not required
