Assistant Pastry Chef – Long Cove Club

Location: Hilton Head Island, SC Position Type: Full-time Pay Range: Approximately $18–$23 per hour

Position Overview

The Assistant Pastry Chef supports the pastry and culinary team in preparing baked goods and desserts for the club's dining operations. The role assists with production, maintains quality standards, and supports overall kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and production of pastries, desserts, and baked goods
• Follow established recipes and presentation standards
• Support pastry production for club dining, banquets, and special events
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen
• Assist with ingredient preparation, measuring, and mixing
• Support other kitchen areas as needed during service or production periods

Basic Qualifications

• 1–3 years of pastry or baking experience, or enrollment in a pastry/baking program
• Ability to follow recipes and production schedules
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and support the culinary tea
