Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans across subjects such as literacy, math, and curriculum development
- Support students with special needs, including those with autism and other disabilities, ensuring they participate fully in classroom activities
- Help manage classroom behavior and promote positive behavior management strategies
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students requiring additional assistance in areas like early childhood development
- Aid in preparing instructional materials and setting up classroom activities aligned with curriculum goals
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other non-instructional times to ensure safety and engagement
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports childhood development and accommodates diverse learning styles
- Communicate effectively with teachers and other staff members regarding student progress and needs
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare, preschool, private schools, or early childhood programs is preferred
- Experience in classroom management and implementing educational activities for young children is preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team dedicated to student success
