The Long Beach Public Library Foundation, the independent 501(c)(3) philanthropic partner of the Long Beach Public Library, raises private and select governmental support to enhance library programs and services across the City of Long Beach.
We are seeking an experienced Director of Philanthropic Partnerships to lead and grow a $1M institutional revenue portfolio through corporate, foundation, sponsorship, and government partnerships. This senior leadership role reports to the Executive Director and CEO and plays a key role in advancing youth literacy, Books Unbanned (ages 13–19), Family Learning Centers, digital equity initiatives, cultural programming, and additional strategic initiatives aligned with the Foundation’s mission.
The Director will design and execute a comprehensive institutional fundraising strategy, cultivate and steward long-term partnerships, and lead corporate sponsorship strategy for the Foundation’s annual gala, Grape Expectations.
Qualified candidates will demonstrate a track record of securing six- and seven-figure grants and sponsorships, managing and growing a seven-figure portfolio, and building strong relationships with corporate, foundation, and government partners.
