Salary range: $22-24 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday – Friday

Summary:
This position serves as the first point of contact for customers and program participants, providing professional front-office support and assistance with utility assistance and community service programs. This position supports client intake, application processing, eligibility guidance, administrative functions, and program operations while ensuring a positive customer experience and efficient delivery of services across multiple programs.
Front Office/Utility Assistance Program Support:
· Greet visitors, customers, and program participants in a professional and welcoming manner.
· Assist with keeping the front office and reception areas clean, organized, and stocked with necessary materials.
· Assist LIHEAP utility assistance customers with the application process, including reviewing documentation and providing guidance on eligibility requirements.
· Perform general office duties such as data entry, filing, copying, and organizing materials.
· Process all Emergency Walk-In clients and Emergency Appointments efficiently and with professionalism
· Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management
Community Advocacy and Family Services Program Support Duties:
- PADNET (Public Access Digital Network):
- Assist members with class registration, membership dues, and account maintenance.
- Provide basic guidance on studio access classes and media resources.
- Youth Services (LAMP):
- Assist with set-up and clean-up of program areas while ensuring proper care of program materials
- Assist with assigned program administrative assignments
- CAFS (Community Assistance & Family Services) Program:
- Provide administrative support including file organization, form preparation, and recordkeeping.
- Help schedule customer appointments and maintain tracking databases.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
- Bilingual Required (Spanish)
- At least 2 years of experience in program support or administrative roles, preferably in a nonprofit or community services or social services setting.
- Proficiency in office software (e.g. Microsoft Office,Canva, Google Workspace)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate schedules, logistics, and program operations efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with program participants, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to work creatively and flexibly in a team environment while independently managing tasks with minimal supervision. Must be able to both provide and accept direction, supervision, and guidance when appropriate.
- Commitment to learning and upholding LBCAP’s policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in an office environment; frequent contact with other staff and public; moderate level of noise. The nature of this position may also require to working outdoors in all weather conditions including wet, hot, and cold.
Physical Demands:
Position requires sitting, standing, walking on level and unleveled surfaces, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, stooping, squatting, and crouching in the performance of daily activities. The position also requires near, far, and color vision when assisting in activities of program participants.
- Additionally, the position requires grasping, repetitive hand movement, and fine coordination when writing and typing announcements and advertisements and providing instruction.
