Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and stock various wires utilized in the electrical industry.
- Review orders, pull requested wire from spools, examine for accuracy, and wrap for transport.
- Provide loading and unloading support as needed.
- Update databases timely and provide accurate inventory counts as requested.
- Follow processes and procedures as instructed by your Lead or Wire Room Supervisor.
- Help maintain a clean and organized working environment.
- Follow established safety guidelines and proper protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service to our internal and external partners, customers, logistics professionals, vendors as well as vendor partners and employees.
- Proactive communication to management regarding issues and concerns.
- Other tasks as assigned by leadership.
- Ability to operate various types of wire and material handling equipment including wire cutters, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts as needed.
- Strong reading and communication skills.
- Epicor Eclipse ERP experience preferred.
- May be required to move up to 40 lbs.
- Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in warehouse conditions that are not always climate controlled and may include, heat and humidity.
- Noise level may be loud at times.
- Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
