In this role, you will be responsible for timely delivery and retrieval of our rental equipment. Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain delivery vehicles and trailers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers
- Safely load, secure, deliver and unload rental tools and equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation, to include photographing condition of rental assets before and after delivery and pickup
- Perform routine maintenance on delivery vehicles and trailers, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and general cleanliness
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and other equipment in order to load or provide basic demonstrations to customers
- Perform minor repairs (with guidance from the equipment mechanic) when necessary in order to retrieve downed equipment from a jobsite
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle and working environment in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Provide excellent customer service, including timely and professional communication with customers and flexibility to meet their delivery and pickup needs
- Other duties as assigned
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial driving and delivery
- Minimum 1 year experience operating a forklift
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and delivery logistics software is a plus
- Occasionally works around moving mechanical parts and in warehouse or jobsite conditions that are not always climate controlled and may include heat, humidity, cold, or rain.
- Noise level may be loud at times.
- Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. frequently
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
