Accountant/Bookkeeper
Part time: Hours will be Tuesday-Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Client is an award-winning, family-operated payroll, accounting/bookkeeping, and
human resource firm. We provide outsourced solutions for small to medium-sized
businesses across the nation. Our team of professionals has supported businesses for
over 20 years, taking great pride in building deep, meaningful relationships with the
clients.
Position Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for providing a variety of accounting/bookkeeping
services with Clients having a variety of needs. Primary tasks may include handling
accounts payable, payments, billings, accounts receivable, accounting for fixed assets
and loans, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, plus getting payroll properly
recorded. There are some Clients that have complex transactions coming from
specialized sources that will require detailed classification and input. Getting
transactions into correct accounts is an important goal. Effective communication with
clients and providing information for management review are essential components of
this role.
Responsibilities Include:
Utilize QuickBooks Online and Desktop for clients
Collect vendor information, including Form W9, to enable the production of Form
1099 at year-end
Prepare Transaction Privilege Tax (Sales Tax) Returns
Maintain internal controls and fraud prevention
Communicate effectively across departments within HR Wise
Work diligently to meet deadlines
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience with QuickBooks: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and
knowledge of Desktop
Experience with Payroll Platforms: ADP, Paylocity, Paychex, and other payroll
platforms
Fundamental Knowledge of GAAP: Comprehensive understanding of generally
accepted accounting principles
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work with a variety of personalities at all levels
throughout an organization
Communication: Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Organizational Skills: Excellent administrative, organizational, attention to
detail, time management, and follow-through skills
Technical Proficiency: Expertise with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel
and Word, and email platforms
Adaptability: Success in a high-growth environment and ability to adapt to
change
Education
Degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business, or related field
Experience
At least 5 years of solid bookkeeping experience
Previous experience in business accounting, finance, or other related fields
