What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Lone Tree Surgeon?
Job Overview
We’re looking for an energetic, "can-do" Medical Assistant to join our crew. If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and actually enjoys the puzzle of neurosurgery and spine care, we want to talk to you. This isn’t just a "clock-in, clock-out" job—it’s an opportunity to be a vital part of a team that’s committed to excellence and delivering top-tier patient experiences.
What You’ll Be Doing
- The Provider's Right Hand: You’ll be right there in the room with our providers, scribing in real-time. You need to be sharp and quick, accurately capturing clinical visits, exams, and treatment plans directly into the EHR.
- Clinical Precision: Beyond intake and medical histories, you'll be handling phlebotomy duties. We need someone who is confident with venipuncture and lab orders, making the process smooth and comfortable for our patients.
- The Patient Journey: You are often the face of the practice. You’ll answer questions, guide patients through their care plans, and handle follow-up scheduling with a compassionate, professional touch.
- Tech & Documentation: We are an eCW (eClinicalWorks) shop. You’ll be responsible for keeping our records precise, ensuring every note and ICD-10 code is spot-on and compliant.
- Clinic Flow: From measuring vitals to prepping rooms for specialized procedures and keeping our inventory stocked/sterilized, you’re the engine that keeps the day running smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
- Phlebotomy Skills: This is a must. You should be proficient in blood draws and handling lab specimens.
- Scribing Savvy: You need to be comfortable documenting clinical data on the fly during consultations.
- eCW Experience: If you’re already a pro with eClinicalWorks, you’re ahead of the curve.
- Specialty Background: Experience in a high-pressure outpatient setting—like neuro, ortho, or spine—is exactly what we need.
- A Professional Edge: We value someone who wears the uniform with pride, communicates clearly, and treats every patient like a priority.
Why You’ll Love It Here
We don’t do "boring" here. You’ll be part of a dedicated team that values accountability and professional growth. We work hard, but we foster a supportive environment where your contributions actually matter and your skills will stay sharp.
