Job Title: Route Bus Driver - 2026-27 SY
Reports to: Transportation Director
Qualifications: Obtain a Commercial Driver's License, Pass Annual Physical, Pass Annual Drug Testings, take and pass yearly course work as needed, get Class B CDL with passenger endorsement.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Obeys all traffic laws.
- Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses
- Maintains discipline when students are on the bus.
- Reports undisciplined students to the transportation director.
- Keep the assigned bus clean.
- Fuel bus as needed.
- Keeps to the assigned schedule.
- Inspect each bus operation daily for mechanical defects.
- Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness.
- Discharges students only at authorized stops.
- Exercises responsible leadership when on out-of-district school trips.
- Transports only authorized students.
- Reports all accidents and completes required reports as directed by the transportation director.
- Conduct emergency exit drills on a yearly basis.
