Welder/Fabricator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. Lone Star Trailer & Body, LLC manufactures and installs truck bodies from Vacuum Trailers, Belly Dump Trailers, Vacuum Truck Bodies, Portable Restroom Trucks, to Rig Vac Trailers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for building and fabricating high-quality product . This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to work with different materials, ensuring adherence to industry codes and standards.

Duties

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components using welding techniques.
• Operate welding equipment, including MIG, RMD, and stick welding processes.
• Utilize plasma cutting tools for precise cuts on various materials.
• Build custom parts and assemblies according to blueprints and specifications.
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently.
• Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles.
• Familiarity with sheet metal work, plasma cutting, and operating forklifts.
• Knowledge of welding codes and standards relevant to the industry.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Capability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining safety standards while performing tasks.
