What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pain Management Clerical Medical Assistant position at Lone Star Orthopaedic and Spine Specialists?
We are looking for a medical assistant to help with mostly clerical duties for one of our pain management doctors.
The duties will include:
- Schedule surgeries / consent patients / scan.
- Create lab orders, fax, email and follow up to make sure we have the results.
- Prior auths.
- Initiate all IRO's.
- Phones.
- Review ALL new patient appointments.
- Review all self referral requests.
- Schedule peer to peers for the doctor and nurse practitioner.
- Checking surgery orders / and creating orders.
- Screen vendors.
- Schedule vendor lunches.
- Filter faxes
- Notify SCS vendors of upcoming patient appointments.
- Rearrange schedule at doctors instruction.
- Monitor schedule for overbooking.
- Sign off on all PT POC's.
eClinical experience is a plus!
Salary : $20
