Lone Star Grading & Materials is looking for a Project Manager to join our team!
We are looking for candidates with either a Construction Science or Civil Engineering degree who is experienced in scheduling and managing commercial & federal projects.
Scope of job is as follows:
Duties include
• Manage all office aspects of the assigned projects from start through closeout
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Prepare and maintain short-term and long-term schedules to manage and predict workloads
• Reading and understanding plans and specifications
• Prepare and submit shop drawings/submittals
• Coordinate projects with field personnel
• Build and maintain relationships with clients
• Coordinate with internal accounting and estimating
• Assist the Estimating Department as required to meet the demand within the department
• Plan and implement the earthwork and concrete phases of awarded jobs
• Coordinate with the field and administrative personnel
• Communicate effectively with clients and partners
• Ensure deadlines and cost targets are met
• Maintain required project documentation
• Review Daily Time Sheets and Reports
• Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems
Requirements
• BS Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Related Field (or equivalent experience)
• 3 or more years of experience as a project manager in a construction company
• Experience and knowledge of earthwork and concrete construction
• Experience and knowledge of Federal construction requirements
• Ability to thoroughly review and understand plans and specifications
• Proficient with MS Office programs
• Proficient in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to work with a team
• Strong project management skills
• Strong written skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Strong leadership qualities
• Proficient in HCSS programs (HeavyJob, HeavyBid) a plus, but not required
• Previous estimating experience a plus, but not required
• PMP certification a plus, but not required
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods (including but not limited to contract documents, materials, equipment utilization, scheduling systems, productivity analysis, construction operations, budgeting and cash flow)
• Excellent time and project management skills
