Lone Star CDL is looking for a motivated and reliable Bilingual CDL Instructor (English/Spanish) to join our team on weekends. If you have a valid CDL Class A license and enjoy helping others succeed, we'd love to hear from you. No prior teaching experience is required—we'll provide the training you need.
Responsibilities
- Train students in the safe operation of Class A and B commercial vehicles.
- Conduct hands-on behind-the-wheel training for students operating tractor-trailers, and trucks with air brakes
- Demonstrate driving techniques, backing maneuvers, and pre-trip inspections.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and performance in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Ensure all training activities adhere to safety protocols and industry best practices
- Stay current with updates in traffic laws, FMCSA regulations, and trucking industry standards to provide accurate instruction
- Maintain a professional and positive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license (required).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Clean driving record preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, dependable, and professional.
- Ability to work weekends.
- Ability to demonstrate safe driving techniques through practical instruction and coaching
- Familiarity with adult education principles
- Strong communication skills to clearly explain complex concepts and foster a positive learning environment
- No previous instructor experience required.
