Auto Reconditioning Technician Trainee
Lone Star Auto Reconditioning — West Houston/Katy, TX
Lone Star Auto Reconditioning is a family-owned automotive reconditioning company specializing in mobile, on-site leather, vinyl and interior repair for automotive dealerships.
We are looking for a dependable, hands-on person who wants to learn a specialized trade and grow with our company. No previous leather or vinyl repair experience is required — we will train the right person.
What You’ll Learn & Do:
- Train hands-on in automotive leather and vinyl repair
- Learn re-dyeing and professional color-matching techniques
- Repair worn leather, scratches, tears, scuffs and discoloration
- Prepare surfaces, tools and materials for repairs
- Travel to dealership accounts throughout the West Houston/Katy area
- Inspect completed work and maintain quality standards
- Communicate professionally with dealership personnel
- Maintain tools, materials and equipment
- Progress toward independently servicing dealership accounts
Training Pay: $18–$20/hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
This is not a desk job. You’ll be working with your hands, traveling between dealership accounts and learning a skill that takes time and practice to master.

Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license

- Ability to travel locally between dealership accounts
- Willingness to learn a specialized automotive repair skill
We’re looking for someone who wants more than a temporary job. Our goal is to train someone who can eventually manage dealership accounts independently and grow with Lone Star Auto Reconditioning.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
