Role Description The Golf Course Grounds Crew role is a full-time, on-site position based at LONE PINE COUNTRY CLUB in Washington, PA. Team members help maintain the golf course and surrounding grounds, including mowing greens, tees, fairways, and roughs, raking bunkers, trimming trees and shrubs, and maintaining landscaping. Daily tasks may include setting up the course by changing hole locations, moving tee markers, and ensuring hazards and signage are properly marked and visible. The role also involves operating and caring for grounds equipment, performing basic maintenance tasks, and following safety procedures. Crew members work primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions and collaborate closely with the superintendent and grounds staff to keep the course in excellent playing condition.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work, including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfort operating or learning to operate grounds equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of course appearance and safety.
- Reliability in attendance, punctuality, and following instructions in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed during the golf season.
- Basic understanding of or interest in golf course maintenance, turf care, or landscaping (prior experience preferred but not required).
- Ability to adhere to safety guidelines and use protective equipment as directed.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation strongly preferred.
