Responsibilities
- Safely operate motor coaches, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle mechanical integrity and readiness for service
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, luggage handling, and answering questions professionally
- Maintain clear communication with dispatchers and passengers using radios or other communication devices to coordinate routes and address any issues promptly
- Follow scheduled routes accurately while managing time efficiently to ensure timely arrivals and departures
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical concerns or safety hazards immediately
- Uphold safety protocols at all times, including proper use of seat belts and adherence to passenger capacity limits
Skills
- Class A or B CDL with passenger endorsement
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues
- Experience operating motor coaches with a focus on safety and customer care
- Proven commercial driving skills with a valid driver’s license appropriate for passenger transportation
- Excellent communication skills in English for interacting with passengers and team members effectively
- Familiarity with bus driving regulations and safety standards
- Customer service orientation with the ability to handle diverse passenger needs professionally
- Previous straight truck experience or lowboy driving background is advantageous
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures to support vehicle upkeep and safety compliance
