We're looking for someone who shares our passion for animals and customer service to join our team as a part-time veterinary receptionist.
Position Overview:
As the face of our veterinary hospital, you will be the first person clients interact with and play a critical role in providing exceptional service. From managing appointments to answering client questions and coordinating between our medical team and clients, you’ll be the glue that keeps our operations running smoothly. We value your positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Interaction: Greet clients warmly and make them feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they walk in or call.
- Appointment Scheduling: Manage appointment bookings, ensuring that schedules run smoothly and efficiently.
- Client Education: Provide clients with information on procedures, treatments, and basic pet care when needed.
- Phone Handling: Answer and direct phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage follow-up calls.
- Data Entry & Records Management: Maintain accurate client records and input data into our veterinary management software, Impromed.
- Payment Processing: Handle billing, process payments, and help clients with any financial inquiries.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and other support staff to ensure seamless care for patients.
- Administrative Support: Assist with office duties such as preparing client paperwork and organizing office supplies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, veterinary, or healthcare setting preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with clients empathetically.
- A love for animals and a genuine interest in supporting pet health.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment.
- Proficient in basic office tasks, including computer skills, phone etiquette, and handling payments.
