Part-Time QA Tester (Shopify | Beauty eCommerce)
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time QA Tester to support the ongoing testing, performance, and optimization of our Shopify site. This role is responsible for identifying issues quickly, improving site functionality, and helping deliver a seamless customer experience across desktop and mobile.
Responsibilities
- Test Shopify site updates, launches, and promotional changes
- Validate critical customer journeys including product pages, cart, checkout, and subscriptions
- Identify, document, and report bugs, UX issues, and site inconsistencies
- Troubleshoot and support resolution of site speed and performance issues
- Perform regression testing after releases and updates
- Ensure a flawless mobile-first experience across devices and browsers
- Collaborate closely with marketing and development teams
Qualifications
- Experience with Shopify QA, including themes, apps, and checkout testing
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Cypress or Playwright
- Experience with performance testing tools such as Google Lighthouse or GTmetrix
- Familiarity with Postman for API testing
- Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing; BrowserStack is a plus
- Experience testing Shopify geo marketplaces
- Familiarity with VPN-based testing tools such as TunnelBear, Localize, or similar
- Awareness of automated Shopify QA and monitoring tools such as Uptime and TestCard
Nice to Have
- Experience with visual QA tools such as Percy
- Exposure to CI/CD workflows, such as GitHub Actions
- Background in beauty, wellness, or direct-to-consumer brands
