Londonderry High School is seeking a passionate, energetic, and
student-centered Teacher of Spanish to join our World Languages Department.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep love for the Spanish language and its
diverse cultures, along with a commitment to fostering a communicative and
inclusive classroom environment.

At LHS, we believe that language learning is more than just grammar - it is
a gateway to global citizenship. You will be responsible for teaching Spanish
at various levels (Novice through Advanced), helping students develop
proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

• Instructional Excellence: Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with ACTFL World-Readiness Standards.

• Cultural Integration: Incorporate authentic materials to provide students with a holistic understanding of the German-speaking world.

• Assessment: Utilize both formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and provide constructive, timely feedback.

• Collaboration: Work closely with the World Languages Department to align curriculum and share best practices.

• Student Engagement: Foster a positive classroom culture that encourages risk-taking and participation.

• Work with our Middle School to build a 8-12 German program.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in German, Secondary Education, or a related field.

• Certification: Valid New Hampshire State Certification in German or eligibility for immediate certification.

• Proficiency: Near-native fluency in both German and English.

• Skills: Strong classroom management skills and the ability to integrate technology into the learning experience.
