Position Description:
Lomont Molding LLC is an innovative custom plastics manufacturer. The team is looking for individuals focused on delivering exceptional customer service to its internal production team to drive 100% on-time delivery. The maintenance technician role is a critical position in making the facility run seamlessly. The individual must have strong technical and mechanical skills as well as effective communication skills.
Position Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots breakdowns and performs machine/building repairs as well as other planned maintenance shutdowns.
- Collaborates with the team on new projects by assisting with project installations.
- Inspects, maintains, repairs, and installs systems such as motors, transformers, wiring, switches, fixtures, and motor controls in accordance with National Electrical Code.
- Inspects, tests, maintains, and repairs components of the electrical distribution system.
- Repairs and maintains small and major appliances, lighting fixtures, and other electrical production equipment.
- Locates and diagnoses electrical system malfunctions using test equipment.
- Evaluates and performs safety checks on new equipment.
- Works with service representatives of equipment on contract or under warranty if necessary.
- Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment by inspecting, cleaning, and calibrating on pre-determined schedule.
- Records quality and output measures and completes any other necessary paperwork.
- Performs general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Performs other duties as required. Provides maintenance resource to the entire plant.
- Utilizes equipment manuals, analytic skills, and test equipment to identify which of the following is the root-cause for an equipment problem: Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and/ or Pneumatic.
- Disassemble and repair hydraulic and pneumatic valves and cylinders.
- Assist in tooling changeovers as required.
- Starts/ Stops all equipment, identifies machine cycle and sequence of operation as required.
- Performs scheduled maintenance on equipment, with limited support.
- Uses hand tools, measurement devices (micrometers, calipers, etc.) and shop equipment to repair mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
- Performs training and related job duties as assigned.
- Organizes, controls inventory for electrical/tooling parts and maintains records.
- Improves and maintains plant equipment.
- Read hydraulic and pneumatic prints with demonstrated comprehension.
- Leads/performs troubleshooting of hydraulic and pneumatic problems.
- Leads/performs rebuilding of hydraulic and pneumatic components.
- Develop written procedures and instructions, as necessary.
- Maintain work orders in IQMS.
- Monitor Maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
Education and Experience Summary:
- High School or GED.
- Maintenance trade education preferred, not required.
- Previous maintenance experience in manufacturing environment a plus.
- Experience working with MS office tools, CAD, and statistical process control methods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Work Environment:
- Manufacturing Environment with molds, machines, forklifts, etc.
Hours and Travel:
- This is an hourly, full-time position. Must be willing to work a minimum of 40 hours. Willing and able to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
- Minimal travel may be required to attend training.
