Responsibilities
Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to support wiring, conduit installation, and fixture mounting. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand project requirements. Conduct basic testing of electrical circuits using tools like ohmmeters and multimeters to ensure proper functionality. Support the installation of low voltage systems such as alarm, communication, or data wiring. Follow all safety procedures related to construction and electrical work, including NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Help with framing carpentry tasks when required to support electrical infrastructure setup.
Skills
Previous experience with industrial or commercial electrical systems is a plus but not required; eagerness to learn is essential. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety practices. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of low voltage wiring systems and basic electrical theory. Experience or familiarity with high voltage systems is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols at all times. Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to follow instructions from licensed electricians.
