Job Summary
Lombard Toyota is seeking a part-time energetic, professional Cashier. Must be organized, dependable, accurate, able to multi-task, and have exceptional communication skills. Must also have excellent phone skills and a positive attitude. This position requires open availability to work evenings, up to 29 hours per week. Please apply in person for immediate consideration.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Receive cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers and record the amount received.
- Make change, cash checks, and issue receipts to customers.
- Communicate with callers in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner, striving to minimize the amount of time they are put on hold.
- Process extended warranty payment requests, memo schedule and file payments.
- Balance cash drawer and petty cash drawer at the end of your shift..
- Communicate messages to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
- Provide basic information to callers who have general questions or refer the more direct questions to the appropriate individual.
- Handle customer complaints with integrity and poise and take or refer the complaining customer to the appropriate individual.
- Perform clerical duties, such as typing, meter mail and filing
Qualifications and Skills Experience with Microsoft Office suite is a plus
- Ability to communicate customers' interests needs and requests to management and sales personnel.
- Professional appearance
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus!
- Must be available to work evenings and Saturday.
- Basic accounting experience a plus.
- Previous automotive cashier experience a plus.
