What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Bridgeport Operator position at Lomar Machine and Tool?
Overview
Lomar is a shop that still values skill. Manual machining isn’t something we’ve phased out it’s something we rely on.
At Lomar, we build custom products, which means there are no shortcuts and skill matters every step of the way. This isn’t copy-and-paste programming or push-button manufacturing. Sometimes the print is just the starting point; the real work happens at the machine, dialing in setups, making adjustments, solving problems, and getting it right.
As a tool maker, you’ll produce custom parts to precise specifications using manual lathes, Bridgeport mills, and surface grinders. You’ll play a key role in the complete tool build and assembly process, working closely with Design Engineers during tryouts, troubleshooting, and final machine development. If you take pride in craftsmanship, critical thinking, and seeing a project through from concept to completion, this is the opportunity for you.
