Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team. The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring timely delivery of food orders from the kitchen to guests, maintaining high standards of food safety and guest service. Responsibilities
- Deliver prepared food orders promptly from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are maintained
- Assist with food handling and presentation, supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization in dining areas
- Support servers by delivering beverages, utensils, and additional items requested by guests
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to answer guest questions professionally
- Uphold food safety standards by following proper handling procedures and sanitation guidelines
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service flow
- Assist with basic food preparation or plating when required, supporting culinary staff during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to enhance guest experiences
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a focus on guest service excellence
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Prior banquet, bussing, or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn about food service operations
