What are the responsibilities and job description for the Educator-Preprofessional Studies position at Loma Linda University Health?
Job Summary: The Educator-the Division of Preprofessional studies supports undergraduate and graduate-level teaching within the School of Allied Health. This Educator role will be a Physics instructor. Performs other duties as needed. The hourly rate of pay will be determined commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree required. We are seeking qualified instructors to teach university-level Physics I, II, and III courses. Preferred candidates will hold a master's degree or higher in Physics, Engineering, Biophysics, Applied Physics, or a related scientific field. Minimum one year of experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of current technology and educational media used in teaching and presentations. Able to effectively communicate changes and instructions in a professional, effective and positive manner. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Able to communicate effectively on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
Licensures and Certifications: License/Certification varies depending on the program.
