Lola The Boys is a Chicago-born children's fashion brand founded in 2016 by a mom of three who couldn't find clothes as bold and joyful as her kids. Ten years later, we've dressed over a million kids worldwide in sequins, statement graphics, and collaborations with brands like Barbie, Hello Kitty, Hot Wheels, and Disney. Our mission has never changed: clothing that makes kids feel confident, expressive, and unapologetically themselves.
Now we're growing our retail footprint — and we're looking for people who bring the same energy to the sales floor that our clothes bring to the closet.
The Role
As a Store Associate, you're the face of Lola The Boys. You'll help families find pieces their kids will actually be excited to wear, keep the store looking as vibrant as our collections, and create a shopping experience that feels like a celebration.
What You'll Do
- Elevate the Guest Experience: Lead, inspire, and coach a high-energy team to deliver an unforgettable, welcoming shopping experience for both kids and parents.
- Drive Styling & Product Expertise: Master the brand’s product line—from everyday staples to exclusive licensed collaborations—and empower the team to deliver confident, creative styling recommendations.
- Optimize Store Operations: Oversee daily operational excellence, ensuring accurate POS transactions, seamless returns/exchanges, and robust compliance with company policies.
- Cultivate Talent & Leadership: Drive team development through consistent training, mentorship, and performance management, building a strong pipeline of future leaders.
- Maintain Visual Excellence: Execute and uphold premium visual merchandising standards, ensuring the sales floor is flawlessly restocked, organized, and visually engaging.
- Master Inventory Control: Oversee back-of-house organization, shipment processing, and inventory counts to minimize shrinkage and maximize product availability.
- Execute Events & Launches: Coordinate and execute dynamic in-store events, localized promotions, and new collection launches to drive foot traffic and brand loyalty.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the strategic liaison between the retail store and corporate partners, providing weekly insights on performance, trends, and team feedback.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year Retail or customer service experience (kids' apparel a plus, not required)
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with families and children
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with weekend/holiday availability
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
