Finance and Operations Manager

Location: Hybrid (90% remote, 10% in person)
Commencement Date: June 2024
Key Responsibilities:
E-commerce Platform Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of our Shopify platform (experience with Shopify us highly valued)
- Monitor website traffic, analyze sales, and generate monthly performance reports
- Collaborate with the marketing and web design teams to enhance the online customer experience
Fulfillment Operations
- Ensure efficient and timely order processing and shipment
- Work with the warehouse and distribution teams to maintain inventory levels and reduce backorders
- Coordinate with customer service to manage returns and exchanges in accordance with our customer service standards
Business Process Improvement and Strategy
- Identify inefficiencies in the current operational processes and implement effective solutions.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and integrate them when applicable
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve smoother operations and increase profitability
- Participate in strategy meetings, using data from across business to propose business strategy and operations improvements
- Overall cross-functional support across the business (looking for someone who wants to learn all aspects of a business)
Team Management & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team (including customer service)
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and innovation
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets across the organization
- Monitor financial metrics against goals
- Pay Bills and update financial model on ongoing basis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or related field
- 1-2 years experience in e-commerce operations, preferably with a focus on Shopify, or in management consulting OR a similar role
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in excel modeling (other analytical tools are a plus), supply chain software, and data analytics
- Excellent leadership abilities with a team-focused mindset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
