What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adult Special Needs Assistant Program Director position at LOL-Life of Liberty?
Are you a seasoned leader who knows how to get things done? Do you have the ability to be firm and direct when you need to be? Do you have a desire to make a real impact in the lives of others? Does resolving difficult problems and conflict excite you? If so, you might be just who we are looking for!
At Life of Liberty, we are all about “Promoting Successful Independence” for those we serve. In fact, it’s what makes us different. While there are many good adult day programs out there, we truly strive to create an environment where our participants can learn and engage through interactive and educational programming. The results we produce are nothing short of amazing and we are looking for amazing people like YOU to join us in our mission.
As our next Assistant Program Director, you’ll assist the Program Director with the day-to-day operation of our program for adults with developmental disabilities. This position is NOT for someone who has a hard time taking charge. It's an active program with many programs and classes that require someone to choreograph it all each day. You'll be constantly supervising, monitoring, coaching, training, and modeling what you expect from our team. You'll need a strong character with the ability to influence others. You'll need to be firm yet friendly, confident yet cool, and professional yet personal. And you'll need to know how to direct and delegate because you simply cannot do it all yourself.
The Assistant Program Director works 8 am to 5 pm Monday - Friday.
The successful candidate must have an acceptable fingerprint-based background check, pre-employment physical, and TB test. HS Diploma or GED equivalent are required within one-year of employment. A valid drivers license is required for this position.
