What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gallery Assistant position at Lois Lambert Gallery?
Art gallery in Santa Monica at Bergamot Station Arts Center is seeking a hard-working and reliable gallery assistant. This position would provide the qualified applicant with experience of working in a fine art gallery and gallery store at an entry-level. This position is temporary, through September 30th.
Must be available to start immediately.
Essential duties:
- greeting visitors
- assisting customers
- fulfilling gallery store orders
- inventory management
- website maintenance
- social media promotion
- product photography
- graphic design
Qualifications:
- understanding and interest in modern & contemporary art
- must be organized and amicable
- knowledge of Adobe Suite, especially Photoshop & InDesign
- tech savvy & comfortable with Mac computers
- ability to multitask
- comfortable speaking with customers about our exhibitions & products
In-person, entry-level position, starting at $20/hr DOE
Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-6pm
