What are the responsibilities and job description for the Investment Associate position at Logos Development?
Investment Associate
LOGOS Development | Los Angeles, CA
LOGOS Development is an LA-based real estate developer that partners with churches and faith organizations to transform underutilized land into privately funded affordable housing across Southern California. They use a nonprofit-partner model designed to create long-term value for church partners while attracting investors seeking market-rate returns. This role sits within the CEO’s Office, supporting the investment and capital formation function—built for someone who is sharp, highly motivated, systems-driven, and takes pride in building processes that run cleanly and reliably. We are building the infrastructure behind our investor pipeline—and this person will own a significant part of it.
You will help LOGOS build and maintain investor intelligence, manage CRM and outreach systems, and prepare the materials that enable efficient, scalable capital raising. You will work closely with leadership to ensure they have the information, materials, and systems needed to operate at a high level. If you are organized, systems-driven, and take pride in making complex processes run cleanly and reliably, you will do well here.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the HubSpot CRM—contacts, preferences, check size, investment thesis, conversation history, and next steps. Keep data clean, current, and structured so the team can always act on it.
- Build, populate, and continuously expand a structured investor pipeline spanning HNW individuals, Family Offices, RIAs, Wealth Managers, Impact Investors, Foundations, PRI-focused funders, Institutional Allocators, and other sources, with a focus on expanding relationships with impact-oriented capital.
- Research and identify prospective investor leads and add them to the pipeline with clean, structured data.
- Build and maintain the investor outreach process—workflows, templates, tracking systems, and communication cadence. Draft follow-ups, log meeting notes, and ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
- Edit, polish, and version-control pitch decks and investor-facing materials for both financial investors and mission-driven capital partners.
- Analyze pro formas and portfolio-level financials to generate clear, high-level insights, supporting statistics, and positioning angles for investor materials. Work with the finance team to translate equity requirements, projected returns, and funding asks into clean investor-ready summaries.
- Organize and maintain impact metrics and outcome data to support foundation relationships and PRI conversations.
- Coordinate inputs across the team and keep all materials presentation-ready at all times.
- Manage day-to-day task and project tracking in ClickUp and Smartsheet.
- Spot what is missing, solve it, and push things forward without being asked twice.
Requirements
- 1–6 years of relevant experience in finance, capital markets, investment operations, or a related field. Finance or capital markets background strongly preferred. Real estate experience is a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated experience managing a CRM and running structured pipelines. You take pride in clean systems, accurate data, and reliable follow-through.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including the ability to analyze financial models and generate clear, high-level summary outputs.
- Hands-on proficiency with HubSpot CRM (required), ClickUp, and Smartsheet. No new platforms will be introduced—comfort working within an established stack is expected.
- Proficiency with PowerPoint / Google Slides. InDesign and social media / marketing experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong research skills: you can find signal, synthesize it, and communicate it clearly.
- Excellent written communication. Highly presentable and professional.
- Extremely detail oriented: accurate data, clean formatting, tight follow-up, zero dropped balls.
- Strong analytical skills and sound judgment—able to think critically while staying grounded in execution.
- Comfortable in a fast-moving environment with direct exposure to leadership.
Ideal Traits
- A systems thinker with strong attention to detail who enjoys building structure and clarity in complex environments.
- Highly reliable and execution-focused—does what they say they will do, consistently.
- Humble, low ego, and team-oriented. Comfortable operating in a support role and enabling our team to perform at a high level.
- Proactive, flexible, and willing to step in wherever needed. No task is beneath you if it moves the team forward.
- Calm, composed, and professional—maintains high standards even in a fast-moving environment.
- Motivated by mission and impact, and disciplined enough to understand what investors need to say yes.
The right candidate will be energized by building systems from the ground up and sees this role as an opportunity to grow with a capital operation over time.
