Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager with a strong focus on warehousing and distribution services. The ideal candidate will identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in the Southeast region—primarily around Savannah’s growing logistics hub. This role emphasizes contract warehousing, value-added services, and integrated logistics, with transportation sales as a complementary offering.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow warehousing and logistics revenue within assigned territories.
- Prospect, qualify, and secure new customers requiring contract warehousing, cross-docking, fulfillment, and distribution solutions.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and pricing models tailored to customer needs.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements in alignment with company profitability goals.
Account Management
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and identify expansion opportunities.
- Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation of new accounts.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and internal operations to ensure service excellence.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Research and analyze regional market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging customer requirements in warehousing and e-commerce fulfillment.
- Provide feedback to leadership regarding new service opportunities, pricing strategies, and network capacity utilization.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, networking events, and logistics associations in the Savannah region.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience in warehousing, logistics, or 3PL services (transportation-only backgrounds will not be prioritized).
- Proven track record of generating new warehousing business and achieving revenue targets.
Skills & Competencies
- Deep understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory management, fulfillment, and value-added services.
- Working knowledge of transportation modes (TL, LTL, intermodal) as part of integrated logistics offerings.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and territory independently.
- Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite.

- Compensation: Base salary plus commission and performance bonuses.
