JOB SUMMARY: As the Receiving Supervisor, you will coordinate the activities and operations of inbound deliveries and storeroom restocking.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Responsible for overseeing receiving activities by training and directing department employees to achieve internal and external customer requirements.

Performs tasks involved in the hiring process and performance of employees.

Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with organization’s policies and procedures.

Ensures that product is stored and handled in a manner that prevents loss or damage and meets customer specifications.

Directs personnel to ensure raw material and component parts are received and organized to meet production schedule.

Directs team members to ensure raw material and components parts are transported as required to meet production schedule.

Responsible for budget control of department resources.

Manages completion and accuracy of all department documentation and all inventory transactions in the ERP system.

Identifies and implements continuous improvement activity in areas of assigned responsibility.

Performs various material handling activities using forklift, pallet jack, or cart.

Responsible for ensuring accuracy of items received.

Responsible for bin restocking, to help storeroom picking accuracy.

Performs same day packing list entry into the ERP system to help hold vendors accountable to meet our on-time delivery metrics.

Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervise employees in the Stores and Receiving departments.

TRAVEL DEMANDS:

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles, as well as relevant software tools.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

Familiarity with safety and quality regulations.

Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other logistics software.

Forklift or other relevant equipment operation certification may be required.

Must have basic reading and writing skills in the English language.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Successful completion of 90-day probationary period

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School education or equivalent required.

Minimum 2 years’ experience required.

Previous supervisor experience preferred.

Work Environment: This role primarily operates within a manufacturing facility, with exposure to production floor activities and office environments.
