JOB SUMMARY: As a IT Business Analyst at LogistiQ, you will serve as the critical bridge between our development team and the rest of our manufacturing-driven organization. This role will be instrumental in driving clarity, collaboration, and successful delivery for a wide range of cross-functional projects—many of which involve our core ERP system, Infor Syteline, along with .NET-based and Azure-hosted applications and InforOS.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can take a high-level project concept and independently engage with stakeholders across operations, engineering, quality, customer service, logistics, and leadership to extract detailed requirements and translate them into actionable development tasks and well-defined backlog items. This role is highly collaborative and requires excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
Remote with one week per month onsite at our Port Clinton, OH facility and/or Sandusky, OH facility (travel expenses paid).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Collaboration
o Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business processes, challenges, and project objectives.
o Conduct interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to gather detailed functional and technical requirements.
o Break down complex business needs into clear, structured, and actionable specifications for the development team.
o Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items suitable for Agile development workflows.
o Serve as the primary liaison between business units and IT development, ensuring alignment and clarity throughout project lifecycles.
- ERP & Application Support
o Develop a deep understanding of Infor Syteline ERP, becoming highly proficient in its capabilities, configurations, and best practices.
o Assist users with daily questions, system navigation, troubleshooting, and non-development support issues.
o Identify opportunities to improve processes or increase efficiency within Syteline and surrounding systems.
o Coordinate with developers on Syteline modifications, integrations, and supporting tools.
- Project & Documentation Work
o Create clear and thorough technical documentation, including functional specifications, workflows, test cases, and training materials.
o Assist in project planning, maintaining requirements traceability, and aligning timelines with development capacity.
o Support quality assurance efforts by validating that delivered solutions meet defined requirements and user expectations.
o Utilize Azure DevOps for backlog management, work item tracking, and documentation.
- Cross-Functional Technology Initiatives
o Work on projects that extend beyond Syteline, including:
Custom .NET and Azure applications
Blazor web-based solutions
Power BI reporting and analytics
SharePoint process/workflow tools
o Ensure business needs are accurately reflected in technical designs and implementation plans.

TRAVEL DEMANDS:

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRMENTS:
- Core Skills
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
o Proven ability to gather, document, and translate requirements into actionable development tasks.
o Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
o Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
o Ability to independently manage workload, prioritize tasks, and keep projects organized.
- Technical Knowledge
o Familiarity with ERP systems (Infor Syteline highly preferred; willingness to learn required).
o Understanding of modern application development concepts; exposure to .NET, Azure, or web app environments is a plus.
o Experience with tools such as Power BI, SharePoint, and Azure DevOps is beneficial.
- Work Environment & Methodology
o Experience in or exposure to manufacturing, quality systems, or process improvement methodologies is a significant advantage.
o Basic understanding of Agile or iterative development processes preferred, but not mandatory.
- Successful completion of 90-day probationary period.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent professional experience.
- 10 years of development experience in SyteLine CSI ERP or equivalent ERP / manufacturing focused experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is pleasant, temperature controlled, professional office environment in a manufacturing setting. The employee works in an office setting but does have frequent interaction with the shop floor. On the shop floor, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is mixed and the air temperature fluctuates with the seasonal weather.
