Job Summary: As an Electrical Controls Engineering Intern at LogistiQ, A Division of LEWCO, you will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Electrical Controls Engineering department.
Essential duties and Responsibilities: including the following (other duties may be assigned)
- Working knowledge of NFPA 70, National Electric Code, and NFPA 79, Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical control circuits
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Electrical
- Competent communicator with a wide array of cross functional staff in both office and manufacturing settings
- General working knowledge of PLC, HMI, and PC based control hardware and software.
- Able to maintain positive and professional relationships with all cross functional team members.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient with a 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
- Proficient with AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD, Electrical
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Proficient with RS 5000
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.

- This position may require occasional travel.

- Successful completion of 60-day probationary period.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Pursuing bachelor's or associate degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Work Environment:
- The work environment is pleasant, temperature controlled, professional office environment in a manufacturing setting. The employee works in an office but does have frequent interaction with the shop floor. On the shop floor, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is mixed and the air temperature fluctuates with the seasonal weather.
