What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator position at Logistics One Transport?
Logistics One has an opportunity for a forklift operator on our overnight shift team. Our equipment operators are responsible for the unloading/loading of trailers using a clamp truck, and arranging warehouse stock locations as needed. Logistics One warehouses and distributes finish packaged insulation. Along with operating the material handling equipment, clamp truck operators also utilize a handheld scanner to receive loading/unloading information and inputting data as work is being done for live time data feedback. Safety is a core value at Logistics One, seeking a candidate who understands efficiancy is important but safety always has to be top priority.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform each duty with safety and efficiency.
- Pull inventory from the correct location as per pick instructions via tablet.
- Stage inventory, load out-bound shipments from staged inventory or live load w/clamp truck.
- Unload in-bound inventory and place in proper storage location w/clamp truck.
- Accurately complete proper documentation for load and unload.
- Use sound housekeeping during each activity cleaning and putting tools and equipment in its proper location.
- Perform forklift inspections as per OSHA and/or Logistics One requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by warehouse management.

Base Rate: $18:50hr Plus $125wkly Incentive program
Schedule: 6pm -6am
Physical Demands: Ability to operate sit down equipment for extended periods of time 12hr shift, ability to safely climb into & out of equipment. Walking on concrete floors. Ability to perform general activities that may occur in a warehouse environment.
Skills Required: Safety conscious, attention to detail, able to work with minimal supervision, strong forklift skills with various attachments, read from pick sheets, pull inventory and accurately document inventory movements. Basic computer skills or willingness to learn are required for some basic duties.
Work Environment: Busy warehouse environment is not climate controlled; Incumbent must dress accordingly. Safety shoes required as well as the use of other PPE as required for the job function.
