Position Summary:
The Operations Manager oversees a team of analysts responsible for delivering high-quality data analysis, reporting, and insights that support operational excellence and strategic decision-making. This role partners closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, participates in strategic planning meetings, and ensures analytics initiatives align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of operations analysts, including workload prioritization, performance management, and professional development
- Oversee the development of presentation materials that use data-driven insights to tell stories, drive decisions, and create action
- Attend and contribute to strategic and leadership meetings, providing analytical insights and recommendations
- Identify, evaluate, and implement new opportunities to provide timely, relevant, and actionable data across business units
- Review and optimize existing metrics, dashboards, and reporting processes to improve efficiency and clarity
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all operational analytics and reporting
- Own and maintain critical analytical tools, KPIs, and recurring analyses supporting planning and efficiency tracking
- Partner with stakeholders to define operational success metrics and establish daily, weekly, and monthly performance tracking
- Lead and oversee special projects and cross-functional initiatives beyond day-to-day responsibilities
- Guide analysis of third-party vendor data and ensure insights are translated into business impact
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of customized datasets and reporting solutions
- Support strategic delivery initiatives by tracking progress, reporting outcomes, and recommending adjustments
- Contribute to the vision, strategy, and continuous improvement of enterprise analytics and reporting frameworks
- Develop and oversee training materials and analyst enablement programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Competencies:
- Strong leadership, coaching, and people-management skills
- Advanced analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations
- Ability to synthesize complex quantitative and qualitative data into clear recommendations
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and data analysis tools
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of business intelligence, reporting processes, and operational analytics
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position has direct supervisory responsibility over a team of analysts.
Preferred Experience:
- 5 years of progressive experience in analytics, operations, logistics, transportation, finance, or related fields
- Prior experience leading or mentoring analysts preferred
- Proven record of meeting or exceeding performance goals
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position, specific hours with vary based on the location, typically Monday through Friday 40 hours per week.
