What are the responsibilities and job description for the Web Application Pentester (AppSec SME) (Onsite Interview) position at Logisoft Technologies Inc?
Title: Web Application Pentester (AppSec SME)
Location: Dallas, TX 100% Onsite
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Note: Candidates who are authorized to work without sponsorship will be considered. (We are unable to provide Visa Sponsorship)
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience in application penetration testing (web & APIs)
Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10, secure coding practices, and modern attack vectors
Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
Familiarity with authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect)
Ability to work independently, think critically, and solve complex security challenges
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth web application and API penetration testing to uncover vulnerabilities in design and implementation
Perform security architecture reviews across applications and cloud integrations
Evaluate emerging application security tools, standards, and authentication protocols
Provide expert guidance on secure design patterns and architecture for web, API, and cloud systems
Collaborate with engineering and technology SMEs to define and implement security policies and controls
Promote a security-first mindset through awareness, training, and best practices
Review technical design documents to ensure security requirements are embedded early
Communicate complex security concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
