Position Summary
A Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining a constant supply of clean linens and towels for the hotel.
Responsibilities
- Sorting linens to locate and salvage stained or torn linen
- Recording counts for discarded linens
- Loading and operating commercial washers and dryers
- Folding and stacking towels, sheets, and other linens
- Inspecting linens for stains, tears, etc.
- Cleaning storerooms and laundry area
- Organizing storage areas in an efficient and effective manner
- Reporting equipment problems to maintenance
- Maintaining appropriate guest service and work habits
- Pulling linens from guest rooms as needed
- Has a working knowledge of room attendant duties
