Logicore Logistics, Inc. is a contracted service provider for FedEx, specializing in dependable package pickup and delivery services. We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Operations Manager to lead our team in Parkersburg, WV. This is a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant daily operations.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee all day-to-day operational activities for multiple delivery routes.
- Monitor real-time route performance to ensure on-time deliveries, pickups, and accurate package status updates.
- Interview, hire, onboard, and train new drivers according to FedEx ISP standards.
- Provide coaching, ride-alongs, and performance evaluations to ensure excellence in service and safety.
- Track driver hours, DOT compliance, and maintain all driver qualification files.
- Monitor vehicle telematics for safety violations (speeding, harsh driving, seatbelts, etc.) and coach drivers accordingly.
- Review key operational metrics daily and communicate results to drivers in clear, actionable ways.
- Conduct incident and accident investigations and coordinate follow-up processes.
- Manage fleet maintenance coordination, equipment inventory, schedules, and daily dispatching.
- Solve urgent operational issues quickly and effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Maintain strong communication with FedEx terminal leadership and internal management.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of operations management and people leadership experience (transportation/logistics preferred).
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and make decisions quickly under pressure.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and team leadership skills.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
- Understanding of DOT regulations and transportation safety compliance (preferred).
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning delivery systems, route monitoring tools, and telematics software.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass all required background checks and drug screen.
