Logic Control Systems (LCS) is an industrial automation and controls integration company based in Springtown, TX. We design, build, and support PLC/HMI systems, SCADA platforms, and UL 508A control panels for manufacturing and process facilities across the region. Our team works hands-on, from the drafting table to the panel shop to the plant floor, and we're growing our in-house design and fabrication capabilities to keep pace with client demand.
Position SummaryLCS is looking for an Electrical Designer & Panel Builder to join our team in Springtown. This is a hybrid role: you'll spend part of your time producing electrical schematics and panel layout drawings, and part of your time on the shop floor helping build, wire, and terminate the panels you (and our engineers) design. We're looking for someone experienced with WSCAD; strong candidates with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN experience are also encouraged to apply. Journeyman-level electrical skills are preferred — an active journeyman license is a plus but not required if you have the hands-on experience to back it up.
What You'll DoElectrical Drawings & Design
● Create and revise electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and bills of material using WSCAD (or AutoCAD Electrical / EPLAN).
● Translate engineering specifications and P&IDs into accurate, buildable panel drawings.
● Maintain drawing standards, symbol libraries, and title block/revision conventions across projects.
● Support UL 508A panel documentation requirements.
● Collaborate with our PLC/HMI programmers and project engineers to ensure drawings match the intended control logic and I/O.
Panel Build & Electrical Support
● Assemble, wire, and terminate control panels based on approved drawings.
● Mount and wire components such as PLCs, drives, relays, terminal blocks, breakers, and power supplies.
● Perform point-to-point checkout, continuity testing, and troubleshooting on completed panels.
● Travel to client sites as needed to troubleshoot electrical problems, support panel installation, and assist with system startup.
● Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in the field, working alongside our engineers and technicians to get systems running.
● Follow NFPA 70E and general electrical safety practices in the shop and in the field.
Required:
● Experience creating electrical schematics and panel drawings — WSCAD strongly preferred; AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN experience also welcome.
● Solid understanding of control panel wiring, electrical components, and basic controls concepts.
● Journeyman-level electrical skills — comfortable reading and executing your own drawings in the shop.
● Ability to work full-time, in-house at our Springtown, TX facility.
● Willingness to travel as needed for on-site troubleshooting, installation, and startup support.
● Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing clean, accurate documentation.
Preferred (not required):
● Active journeyman electrician license.
● Experience with UL 508A panel shop standards.
● Familiarity with PLC/HMI hardware (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) from a wiring/layout perspective.
● Prior experience in an industrial automation, machine building, or panel shop environment.
● Competitive pay: $30–$45/hour, based on experience.
● Full-time, stable in-house position — not project-to-project contract work.
● Paid Time Off (PTO).
● Medical Reimbursement Benefit Program.
● Snacks provided.
● A drama-free work atmosphere.
● A small, hands-on team where your drawings and your build work are both valued.
● Room to grow as LCS expands its in-house design and fabrication capacity.
